Every design starts with consideration:
- Will this shape be strong enough?
- Is it balanced?
- Will it stand the test of time?
We wedge to remove air bubbles, ensure even moisture, and align the clay particles. This alignment is key: it gives your earrings that perfect bounce instead of a heartbreaking crack if dropped.
Built to Last
Some retailers stick the earring post on with just a dab of super glue. That might last a year (if you’re lucky).
We don’t do shortcuts.
At We’re Girls, we embed each post inside the earring itself with a second layer of clay. This method creates an unbreakable bond and adds strength where it matters most.
Oh, and it means every component is baked twice for maximum durability and flexibility.
The Finishing Touches
Once baked, each piece goes through a series of loving rituals:
- Sanding rough edges
- Buffing out imperfections
- Polishing until scuff-free
Only then are they ready to shine.
Hardware Matters
We use 316L stainless steel hardware. It’s a low-irritant, rust-resistant, hypoallergenic alloy that’s strong and safe for sensitive ears.
And because comfort is non-negotiable, every pair of statement earrings comes with 10mm silicone-backed supports, so they can be worn all day without the dreaded droop.
Family-Touched Packaging
Once your order is ready, we wrap it up with love then hand it over to my daughter Penny, who decorates each parcel by hand.

Then it’s off to you via Australia Post — a handmade, hand-packed, and heart-filled delivery straight to your doorstep.
